On June 15, UdSU met a delegation of students from Sri Lanka studying at Moscow universities.

The purpose of the visit was to get acquainted with the Udmurt State University, with the Udmurt Republic, holding a cultural and educational event “Evening of the culture of Sri Lanka” for students of Udmurt State University.

Having come to study in Moscow, the Sri Lankans have never left the capital, and this is their first trip to another region, acquaintance with another university, with a different culture.

A tour of the university was organized for the guests. In the laboratories of the Institute of Civil Protection, foreign students were presented with research that is being carried out within these walls. The attention of foreigners was attracted by 3D printers, the educational and scientific laboratories of Ecological Biotechnologies and Chemical Technologies became interested. The guests had many questions about the achievements in the field of research.

A group of students of ISK, the Department of Tourism and Business Technologies in the Socio-Cultural Sphere organized a walking tour for foreign guests in the center of Izhevsk.

At the meeting of the Sri Lankans with the administration of UdSU, Vice-Rector for UR&VS M.M. Kibardin greeted them on behalf of the university. IMITiF and IEN presented their programs and talked about scientific areas.

Evening of culture of Sri Lanka, held by guests for students and veterans of UdSU, allowed to learn the culture of this people, enjoy their music, songs and dances. The festive program was held in a warm, friendly atmosphere.

The participation of students from Sri Lanka in the festival of Udmurt culture “Gerber” and a visit to the House of Friendship of the Peoples of the UR, organizational with the support of the Ministry of National Policy of the UR, made the acquaintance of Sri Lankan students with Udmurtia more vivid, large-scale UdSU, where foreigners from different countries study, knows them requests and knows how to show the attractiveness of our region and the conditions of study at a higher school for foreign students.
